Is really anything free ?

Nothing is free in the world. Everything has a cost that we must pay.

Is really anything free ?
Free

On 21 November 2019, Mahinda Rajapaksa was appointed as the prime minister for a 3rd term in Sri-Lanka. In the cycle of greed and free, people put their future at stake. The people of Sri Lanka knew that Rajapaksa and his family were completely corrupt, he was the broker and toy in China’s hand, yet they were trapped in such a way that he regained power and fulfilled of the promises he made in the election.

His Promises were: –

  1. to bring down GST to 8% from 36%.
  2. Increased the minimum income tax limit from 15 lakh to 30 lakh. The Government and middle-class people were happy because the number of people earning above 30 lakh was very low.

The maximum tax was reduced to 15%. The maximum tax is 30% in India, 40% in the US up to 60% in many other places.

  1. Corporate tax reduced from 40% to 14%.
  2. Removed 7 types of taxes.
  3. Tax waiver on IT and hotel industry. That’s why no income was generated from tourism and hospitality businesses.
  4. Abolish the tax on monasteries to lure Buddhists.
  5. The minimum wage was increased from 300 to 1000.
  6. Tax on retirement gratuity reduced from 24% to 15% .

It lent money from China unnecessarily to show itself a rich nation as the matter of fact, there is no need to lend money from China and constructing unnecessary projects like Port of Hambantota. If the ship didn’t come there, where did the money come from?

From the worker to the industrialist, everyone voted him and as the result of that he won. The promise was kept. The income of the government had been halved; the expenditure was doubled.  It lent money from China unnecessarily to show itself a rich nation as the matter of fact, there is no need to lend money from China and constructing unnecessary projects like Port of Hambantota. If the ship didn’t come there, where did the money come from? China occupied the place. China occupied millions of hectares of land to build a port city.

He took a huge loan to run the government. Whatever was found, the gift of corruption went up. Chemical fertilizers banned in the name of organic farming. As a result, food was not even produced to eat. The spice, tea industry is over. The dollar rose to 320 rupees today. Good wisher China does not help, it does business only. Now Sri Lanka has nothing left with. The public understood how the free ruined them when there is no grain to eat or money to buy.

Even the Indians don’t understand. They get caught in the trap of thugs. Earlier it was same done with Venezuela. Nothing is free in the world. Everything has a cost that we have to pay.

The Electricity Department, Delhi Jal Board and DTC buses are in losses of hundreds of crores. But there are only 10% people who are aware of the coming crisis in Delhi. What they only want is free everything. Punjab Government is in debt of three lakhs crore yet the politicians are promising to give free. If this “FREE” politics is not stopped, India will be soon a next Venezuela or Cuba or Sri- Lanka. India holds 101 positions in Hunger Index and Cuba stands at 20. Yet, we have given them 100 million Euro to buy food as they have no sufficient food to feed their citizen.

Even Sri-Lanka holds above position than India in Happiness Index but the world is experiencing the happiness of Sri-Lankan people fairly well.

Even Sri-Lanka holds above position than India in Happiness Index but the world is experiencing the happiness of Sri-Lankan people fairly well. Only the Industrialists have kept safe the capital Metropolitan of the country. Thousands of crores are deposited in Delhi Government funds as SGST and State Income Tax collection. Business houses are tortured by the government officials to collect more tax in the name of law. Everyday a running company is being shut down due to the strict and odd situation in tax collection system. We must look all the aspects before choosing someone to govern us. Some litters of water and 200 units of electricity are not everything, instead of it the government should let the people work freely and generate wealth so that the condition won’t be worsen like Sri-Lanka.
